DON’T STOP YOUR EDUCATION!

I’m passionate about education, education of the right kind. Education – the one that does not just swell your head but changes your mind and expands your world.

I’m a personal development junkie – buying and reading books, attending seminars, listening to CDs and watching videos and documentary TV shows is my drug. In short, learning is my addiction!

And it has improved me, expanded my world and literally changed my life. It will do the same for you too, if it hasn’t yet. When you know truth, it sets you free from the limitations of mediocrity (see John 8:32). Education, of the personal development type changes lives. Here I present supportive evidence from no less a person than Nelson Mandela in his biography, Long Walk to Freedom:

“Education is the great engine of personal development. It is through education that the daughter of a peasant can become a doctor, that the son of a mineworker can become the head of the mine; that a child of farm workers can become the president of a great nation. It is what we make out of what we have, not what we are given, that separates one person from another.”

Don’t stop your education, now that you are out of school or once you are out of school, whatever your own case may be. Take that course, read that book. Attend that seminar. No one may notice now, but soon they will! Keep learning, it will impact your earning. Keep learning, it will enable you to keep leading. Real education is found in what changes your life, not just what goes into your head. Have a great learning week, this week. You will succeed!

THINKING ABOUT PRAYERLESSNESS…

Prayerlessness is the worst sin.
Prayerlessness will lead to godlessness.
Prayerlessness will result in lost vision.
Prayerless men will replace praying with playing.
Prayerlessness is a disaster. It results in selfishness.

“Men ought always to pray and not to faint,” Jesus said. (See Luke 18:1)

“Pray without ceasing,” Paul admonished. (See 1 Thessalonians 5:17)

Pray when you feel like it.

Pray also, when you don’t feel like praying, for that is even when you need it the most.

Pray even if it’s only a shout for “help!” from God. Prayer is your breath. It is the believer’s staff enabling him to walk with God in the world.

Dear friend, PRAY, PRAY, and PRAY! I think it would be okay if I wish you this: “Have a prayerful weekend.” You will succeed!

I believe God with you today, that your dreams are coming to pass. I just feel like encouraging someone with this this morning. Yes, YOU CAN! For you can do all things through Christ that gives you strength! (See Phillipians 4:13) Have a great good morning! YOU WILL SUCCEED!

HOW DO YOU DEFINE A FRIEND? (5)

A True Friend Stands By You in Your Hour of Need

“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” (Proverbs 17:17)

“A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” (Proverbs 18:24)

The Greek philosopher, Aristotle said, “In poverty and other misfortunes of life, true friends are a sure refuge. The young they keep out of mischief; to the old they are a comfort and aid in their weakness, and those in the prime of life they incite to noble deeds.”

The opposite is also true. “False friends are like our shadows, keeping close to us while we walk in the sunshine but leaving us when we cross into the shade. Real friends stick with us when trouble comes.” (John C. Maxwell)

The test of a true friend is this: She is still there standing by you when others have fled! He is there telling you the truth when others are busy flattering and deceiving you. You must have heard it said, “In prosperity our friends know us; in adversity we know our friends.” A friend in need is a friend indeed.

HOW DO YOU DEFINE A FRIEND? (3)

SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT VALUE WHAT YOU VALUE IS ANYTHING ELSE BUT A FRIEND
“Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?” (Amos 3:3)

Anyone who does not believe in what you believe in cannot be your friend.

For me, anyone who does not value my ideals; who cheapens what I treasure will never be my friend. If your ‘friend’ does not reinforce your decision to serve God, live holy or encourage your passion, focus or concentration on your assignment; that is a wrong friend.

A man who is now a successful professional speaker said that at the beginning of his career, “My friends didn’t believe I could become a successful speaker. So I did something about it. I went out and found me some new friends!” Anyone who is not headed in your direction will be a distraction. YOU WILL SUCCEED!
