“One day as I was observing how wisdom fares on this earth, I saw something that made me sit up and take notice…All the same, I still say that WISDOM IS BETTER THAN MUSCLE…” (Ecclesiastes 9:13, 16 The Message, emphasis mine)

You Are Loaded – Too Loaded!
This morning I continue my thoughts from yesterday. If you missed that, check it here. You had better believed that statement. Look at these scriptures. It will blow your mind to think that all these refer to you.
“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN YOU, than he that is in the world.” (I John 4:4)
“But WE HAVE THIS TREASURE IN EARTHEN VESSELS, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” (2 Corinthians 4:7)
“The kingdom of God comes not with outward observation. Neither shall they say, Lo here! Or Lo there! for, behold, THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN YOU.” (Luke 17:20-21)
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to THE POWER THAT WORKS IN US.” (Ephesians 3:20)
“But THERE IS A SPIRIT IN MAN: and the inspiration of the Almighty gives them understanding.” (Job 32:8)
“Therefore I remind you that you stir up THE GIFT OF GOD WHICH IS IN YOU…”
(2 Timothy 1:6)
(All scriptures are taken from the King James 2000 Version of the Bible. All emphases mine.)
You are too loaded to fail! I challenge you today: Release your potential and be a blessing to your world. Don’t die with your music still in you. You will succeed!
DON’T STOP YOUR EDUCATION!
I’m passionate about education, education of the right kind. Education – the one that does not just swell your head but changes your mind and expands your world.
I’m a personal development junkie – buying and reading books, attending seminars, listening to CDs and watching videos and documentary TV shows is my drug. In short, learning is my addiction!
And it has improved me, expanded my world and literally changed my life. It will do the same for you too, if it hasn’t yet. When you know truth, it sets you free from the limitations of mediocrity (see John 8:32). Education, of the personal development type changes lives. Here I present supportive evidence from no less a person than Nelson Mandela in his biography, Long Walk to Freedom:
“Education is the great engine of personal development. It is through education that the daughter of a peasant can become a doctor, that the son of a mineworker can become the head of the mine; that a child of farm workers can become the president of a great nation. It is what we make out of what we have, not what we are given, that separates one person from another.”
Don’t stop your education, now that you are out of school or once you are out of school, whatever your own case may be. Take that course, read that book. Attend that seminar. No one may notice now, but soon they will! Keep learning, it will impact your earning. Keep learning, it will enable you to keep leading. Real education is found in what changes your life, not just what goes into your head. Have a great learning week, this week. You will succeed!

YOU ARE SPECIAL!
You are special. Has anyone ever told you that before?
You are special! Your life is too important and your heritage too great to ever be compromised!
You have a peculiar destiny. Your origin is divine (Genesis 1:26).
You are a creature of purpose (Romans 8:28) and of an infinite, unquantifiable value.
Your biological inheritance goes back in an unbroken line to the first man – Adam – created in the image of God (Luke 3:23-38).
You are fearfully made. You are wonderfully crafted (Psalm 139:14). You are the crown jewel of God’s creation – a unique specimen of divine glory!
You are one of a kind. There is nobody else like you. Amongst all the 7.1 billion people on the face of planet earth today, there is only one YOU! Your DNA proves this. Your thumb print confirms it.
You are original. Why die being an inferior copy of another. Even if you try, the best you’ll be is second best. Be uniquely you, for in that you’ve got no competition. And on that path, you’ll know no struggles.
Accept your destiny. All of your experiences have brought you to this grand moment in history. All of creation waits your unveiling (Romans 8:18-23). Manifest! Show forth!
Acknowledge your heritage. Celebrate yourself. Or nobody else will. YOU WILL SUCCEED!
I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY!
Blessed is the man who having nothing to say abstains from giving us wordy evidence of the fact.
This thought came to my mind earlier this afternoon while on the way to picking my son from school. If you’ve been following my blog here you’ll notice I haven’t made any post in about a week now. It’s not for want of something to say but of saying something that will be a blessing to my readers. I’ve always believed that you should talk only when you have something to say, not just because you have to say something!
I think in these days and with various social media platforms – facebook, twitter, myspace etc – we have to re-learn how not to talk unless there is something important or beneficial to say. We have to learn afresh to resist the urge to talk for talking sake. We should speak to bless lives. The Scriptures put it this way: “Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt…. (something) good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.” [Colossians 4:6a; Ephesians 4:29b]
If you’re feeling me on this, you might also enjoy this post I wrote earlier in the year, TURN OFF THE TAP! YOU WILL SUCCEED!
I WAS WRONG!
The family is on my mind again. Since I read Jim Bakker’s book by the title above several years back, my priorities took shape. I don’t know about you but I do not want to do ministry at the expense of my family. My goal is still to be the best husband my wife could have ever had and to be the world’s best dad to my kids. I want to represent God well to my children. I don’t want them turning their backs on God and ministry because their dad committed adultery – loving God’s wife (the church) at the expense of loving his own wife and family!
Let’s prioritize family. Do not neglect your relationship with God and with your family. Love your spouse and children if you have them. Spend quality time with them. It pays you both in the short and long run.
Read here the submission of Jim Bakker. It’s been said that to know the road, you should ask someone coming back. Selah!
“In the midst of the swirl of activity, I lost touch with my family, and especially with Jamie. I was not there when he needed me. I confused the work of God for God Himself.
I was wrong.
I am now convinced that God must come first in our lives, then our family, and then the work that we are doing for God. If our family crumbles while we are trying to serve God, we have missed our primary ministry.” (Jim Bakker, I Was Wrong)
Think about this and make amends where you need to. I pray you will not make the same mistake. YOU WILL SUCCEED!
When Books Commit Suicide!
I had always believed that we should raise our kids on books and not on the TV. And here I found supportive evidence.
But by the way, how will you raise your kids on books when you yourself, don’t read. I am an avid reader. I love books. And I read like there is no other thing else to do. And my wife and I are raising our two kids to do the same too. We try as much as possible to reduce TV time and substitute it with reading. Think about it. If you watch too much TV, we might never see you on TV. (I mean, you just might not make that much impact in life to ever warrant an appearance on TV). Today a reader, tomorrow a leader!
Let me conclude with this quote: “I strongly believe that we should turn the TV way down in our lives and get back to reading – reading broadly, deeply, outside our comfort zones and outside our professional fields.” (Stephen R. Covey, The 8th Habit) You will succeed!
LET GO OF WHATEVER MAKES YOU STOP!
“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us…” (Hebrews 12:1 NKJV)
In life, it’s inevitable that you meet with hindrances, cogs in the wheels of your progress – inhibitions that makes you stop! And I am saying today: LET GO OF WHATEVER MAKES YOU STOP!
The J. B. Phillips translation of the New Testament puts the above scripture this way: “Surrounded then as we are by these serried ranks of witnesses, let us strip off everything that hinders us, as well as the sin which dogs our feet…”
Let go of whatever makes you stop! Strip it off. Now!
Inhibitions are weights, snares, hindrances to fulfilling our divine destiny, don’t give it room! Destroy your inhibitions!
Some relationships will ground you, get out of it!
Some habit(s) will frustrate your purpose, let go of it (them)!
Hatred, resentment, unforgiveness (call it by whatever name), is a sinker. Don’t let it sink you!
Sin sinks! I repeat: Sin is a sinker! Don’t allow it. Only fools make a mockery of sin! (Proverbs 14:9) Sin sunk Samson! It sunk Gehazi. It killed Achan. Run for your life!
Procrastination is a habit which easily besets us all. You please yourself temporarily at the expense of achieving your goals. The truth is, as Christopher Parker said, “Procrastination is like a credit card, it’s a lot of fun until you get the bill.” Let go of it!
Attempting to do more all in a bid to please some other people at the expense of your core purpose in life will not get you far. Stop it! I may not know the formula for success but the simplest way to be a failure is to try to please everybody!
Or you try to please people at the expense of God? Trying to fulfill the expectations of men without recourse to God’s demands over your life? Let go of that too, now! I may not know the secret of failure but one sure way is to try not to offend anybody!
Let go of whatever makes you stop!
So, what other things do you know that can hinder us that we need to let go of? Please share. YOU WILL SUCCEED!
YOU CAN DO IT!
Do not believe the lie of the enemy. You can do whatever it is that God has dropped in your mind to do. You can achieve that goal. You can fulfill that dream. You can and you will. I believe God with you today, that your dreams are coming to pass. I just feel like encouraging someone with this this morning. Yes, YOU CAN! For you can do all things through Christ that gives you strength! (See Phillipians 4:13) Have a great good morning! YOU WILL SUCCEED!
