FROM JAJI WITH LOVE

I just returned from the beautifully serene campus of the Nigerian Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, Kaduna in northern Nigeria. I was opportuned to spend a weekend preaching and teaching at The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Chapel of Greatness where my friend and host, Pastor Dele Sonoiki is doing a great work for the kingdom bringing hope to the hopeless and bringing greatness out of ordinary folks.

I want to bless God for the impact and the confirmation He gave to the Word of His grace. I also appreciate you our precious partners who keep on praying for us and consistently and relentlessly giving to support this ministry. You will not miss your reward!

THE BATTLE OF POSTERITY

The pursuit of destiny is real warfare. And a council of hell is sitting right now to make sure you lose the battle. But you will win!

Don’t trade away your birthright. Don’t cheapen your destiny. “Sell me this day your birthright” (Genesis 25:31) is the demand of the battle of posterity. It is a conflict of choices. A test of the strength of your will:

Today versus Tomorrow
Now versus Later
The Present versus the Future
The Urgent versus the Important
The Immediate versus the Ultimate
The Temporal versus the Lasting.

“Sell me this day your birthright!”

Your destiny might not have matured but I challenge you, don’t sell it! Do not trade away your future on the altar of present enjoyment.

Esau had to choose between his hunger and his heritage.
Samson – between Delilah and delivering the Hebrews.
Moses – between Egypt’s treasures and Christ’s reproach.
Joseph – between Potiphar’s wife and a prominent place in Egypt.
Their eventual decisions tilted the battle in their favor or disfavor.

The battle of posterity is a war between TODAY and TOMORROW; between the PRESENT and the FUTURE. When losers fight it, they sacrifice the NOW on the altar of the LATER. They choose the TEMPORAL instead of the LASTING. They respond to the URGENT in the face of the IMPORTANT. They mistake enjoying the IMMEDIATE for the apprehension of the ULTIMATE.

Esau abandoned his birthright for a mess of pottage. Samson wasted his destiny on the laps of harlotry! You will not lose out!

The battle is in your choices. Anything that sacrifices your future on the platform of the now is against your ultimate good. Fight it!

Today is the most important day of your life. Your choice today decides your destiny tomorrow. Today is the cash deposit which you withdraw in tomorrow’s bank account.

There is a future for you. Don’t use today to deny yourself of tomorrow. Esau lost out in the battle of posterity. Will you too?

SUCCESS OR SIGNIFICANCE – WHAT WILL IT BE FOR YOU?

This came out of my devotional time several years ago. I thought to share this with you today. Be blessed!

Success is a function of having goals. Significance is a function of having a life purpose; a purpose that underlies, overarches, overrules and govern everything you do.

Men of success achieve their goals while men of significance change their world!

Ministry is not just about success, ministry is about significance – touching and changing men’s lives for God and for good.

We are not called to be successful alone; we are called to significance – changing our world for God (see Genesis 12:2). We are blessed, not just to be blessed, but to be a blessing!

Life is not about having goals and meeting them. Life is about living to give – changing lives, effecting eternal purposes in the hearts of men. The price of living and the joy thereof is – giving! We live to give. Period!

You are not called just to succeed by yourself. Your success is to make others succeed! You are blessed (not to accumulate things) but to bless others. And watch it, what you make happen for others, God will make happen for you. That is the secret of significance!

Move your world! Change your world! What you do for yourself dies with you. What you do for others live on till eternity.

I do not want to die when I’m dead. I want to live on because I hope to have bequeathed a legacy to posterity. See, a conquest that leaves no bequest has no significance!

The essence of our Christian calling is not success but significance. It’s time you shift your paradigm for living from success to significance!

May you be significant! And YOU WILL SUCCEED!

ASK YOUR WAY TO BREAKTHROUGH!

Welcome to the month of March 2012. This month I see you marching forward in the Name of Jesus! By God you will run through troops, by my God you will leap over walls (Psalm 18:29), in Jesus name!

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened …. How much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (Matthew 7:7, 8, 11)

The Bible teaches here the principle of ‘asking’. (It’s funny how we think this scripture applies only to praying. But the Word says, ‘ask’, not ‘pray’.) Ask and you shall be given. It’s an eternal law, “He that asketh receiveth!” Ask and keep on asking. If you ask, it’s quite possible that you will get someone who God will use to give you what you desire.

Ask your way to breakthrough.

Go to someone you believe can help you today; make that call to someone you believe can assist you, and ask the person to help you out. Do not hesitate to ask.

Take a step in the direction of your expectation. Remember the connection between you and your ‘breakthrough’ may be that you should ‘ask’. YOU WILL SUCCEED!

TODAY I SPEAK LIFE INTO YOUR DREAMS!

“It is the Spirit that quickens (gives life); the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63 NKJV)

Today as I speak these anointed words over your life, the very life of God – Zoe, enters into you, setting you up on your feet, giving life (bringing resuscitation and revitalization) to your dreams.

I see those dead dreams coming back to life!

I see those sick, dying businesses and ideas resurrected by the power of the Holy Ghost!

I see you standing strong on your feet in Jesus name!

I see your career moving forward!

I see that hold of stagnation over your life broken! Your dreams are coming to pass, even now!

That long-standing dream is coming to fruition right now!

“Then the Spirit entered me when He spoke to me, and set me on my feet…” (Ezekiel 2:2)

And so it is, right NOW! In this Word is life and that life is your light, even now. In the Name of Jesus! (See John 1:1-4) I breathe these words into your nostrils (so to speak). Let it be to you a breath of life, a new lease of life into that project, that dream of yours; and it will become a living dream! In the Name of Jesus! (See Genesis 2:7)

I declare over you by the authority of the Living God:

Your PURPOSE will become clear!

The right PEOPLE will come into your life!

God will lead you and order your steps into the right PLACES!

POWER for accomplishments is released upon your life right now, in the Name of Jesus!

YOU WILL SUCCEED!
