PERFECTION IS ATTAINABLE!

Perfection is attainable! To assert its impossibility is to deny the validity of the claims of Christ’s work on the cross.

When He hung on the cross, my old self was crucified and the body of sin done away with. I can now live without sin. Perfection is attainable!

When Christ hung upon the cross, He took all my sicknesses. He carried my sorrows and by His stripes I have been healed. I will no longer be sick. Perfection is attainable!

At the cross, Jesus being rich became poor that I through His poverty might become rich. I am no longer poor! I am rich! Perfection is attainable!

Perfection is attainable. It is not open to debate. To even doubt the possibility is to assert yet its impossibility! I am on my way to perfection. Sin shall no more have dominion over me. Sickness shall not exert over me any longer. I have riches, all through the One who loved me enough to die for me. PERFECTION IS ATTAINABLE!

WORDS TO LIVE BY

Philippians 3:8, 10 (Amplified Bible)
Yes, furthermore, I count everything as loss compared to the possession of the priceless privilege – the overwhelming preciousness, the surpassing worth and supreme advantage of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, and of progressively becoming more deeply and intimately acquainted with him, of perceiving and recognizing and understanding him more fully and clearly. For his sake I lost everything and consider it all to be mere rubbish (refuse, dregs), in order that I may win (gain) Christ, the Anointed One.

(For my determined purpose is) that I may know Him – that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding (the wonders of His person) more strongly and more clearly. And that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection (which it exerts over believers); and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed (in spirit into his likeness even) to his death…”

Picture Speak!

What better way is there to say it? You were blessed to be a blessing (Genesis 12:2)

I’VE GOT MY MIND MADE UP!

I have a dream
And I have an end
I have a hope
And I have a future
No matter what
I shall get there

I may catch hell
But I won’t hold it
I may go through hell
But I won’t stop!
I’ll never allow my ‘going through’
To stop my ‘going to’

I can stop myself
But I won’t
Sin can stop me
But I won’t allow it!
Nothing then, can stop me!
The devil cannot stop me!

I am UNSTOPPABLE!
I am UNCONQUERABLE!
I am INDESTRUCTIBLE!
I am INVINCIBLE!
I am IRRESISTIBLE!
I am IRREPRESSIBLE!

My destiny is intact!
Watch out for me, world!
Clear out of my way, oh earth!
I have come
In the volume of the book
As it is written of me!

AMAZING GRACE!

I was dirty but He cleansed me
I was afar, but He brought me near
I was not a people, but He made me a people
I was in darkness, but He shone His light on me

I was alienated, but He brought me close
I was a stranger, but He befriended me
I was without hope and without God in this world, yet He Fathered me
I brought my good works, but He took them not from me

I was judged and found wanting
His blood and His blood alone
Was the only credential I had
Grace it was, the only thing that saved me
Calvary made me whole

F. A. I. T. H. – Forsaking All I Trust Him
F. A. I. T. H. – My only ticket for pleasing Him
I felt inadequate, I struggled, I tried
Perhaps I could please Him by my works
But He spoke gently to me
“The just (my righteous one) shall live by his faith”
Oh! Amazing Grace
It saved a wretch like me.

HAPPY EASTER!

HOW DO YOU DEFINE A FRIEND?

Who is your friend? What and Who, is a friend? What is friendship? How do you define a friend? Have you been asked that before? It’s a question I have been trying to proffer an answer to, from God’s Word. Let’s explore in these series of posts, the essence of friendships. And please do let me know what you think. Blessings!

Friends are not just acquaintances. And real friends are more than just school or work mates. No! AGREEMENT is the keyword in friendship. Two people cannot walk together except they are agreed. The axe is laid at the root of every relationship. If it does not produce, get rid of it! Friendship does not have to be by force.

Wrong friends (not necessarily bad ones) will corrupt your destiny. “Do not be deceived: evil company corrupts good habits.” (1 Corinthians 15:33) Amnon was King David’s firstborn son. By descent, he was heir to the throne of Israel. But his destiny crashed through a wrong advice from one of his so-called ‘friends’ – Jonadab the son of Shimeah. The ‘prodigal son’ too had a glorious destiny but not with the wrong company he kept. Beware of the friends you keep for they determine your destiny. He who walks with the wise will be wise!

So how do you define a friend?

A TRUE FRIEND ADDS VALUE TO YOU
“As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.” (Proverbs 27:17 NKJV)

Henry Ford said, “Who is your best friend? I will tell you who your best friend is. Your best friend is the one who brings out the best that is within you.” And I think that is so true.

Every true friend brings an investment of value into your life. They do not lean on you alone; they bring something to the table in the relationship. Someone who does not sharpen your focus on your assignment is not a good friend. Anybody who does not improve your life is neither. Some relationships do not add but subtract from you, which is no friendship but parasitism.

No relationship leaves you neutral; if it’s not adding to you, it is subtracting from you whether you’re aware of it or not. Watch out! Some folks are ‘subtracters’, not ‘adders’. They are ‘dividers’, not ‘multipliers’. They are ‘minuses’, not ‘plusses’. When you discover such people in your life, it’s time to go shopping for some new friends!

YOU WILL SUCCEED!

THE BATTLE OF POSTERITY

The pursuit of destiny is real warfare. And a council of hell is sitting right now to make sure you lose the battle. But you will win!

Don’t trade away your birthright. Don’t cheapen your destiny. “Sell me this day your birthright” (Genesis 25:31) is the demand of the battle of posterity. It is a conflict of choices. A test of the strength of your will:

Today versus Tomorrow
Now versus Later
The Present versus the Future
The Urgent versus the Important
The Immediate versus the Ultimate
The Temporal versus the Lasting.

“Sell me this day your birthright!”

Your destiny might not have matured but I challenge you, don’t sell it! Do not trade away your future on the altar of present enjoyment.

Esau had to choose between his hunger and his heritage.
Samson – between Delilah and delivering the Hebrews.
Moses – between Egypt’s treasures and Christ’s reproach.
Joseph – between Potiphar’s wife and a prominent place in Egypt.
Their eventual decisions tilted the battle in their favor or disfavor.

The battle of posterity is a war between TODAY and TOMORROW; between the PRESENT and the FUTURE. When losers fight it, they sacrifice the NOW on the altar of the LATER. They choose the TEMPORAL instead of the LASTING. They respond to the URGENT in the face of the IMPORTANT. They mistake enjoying the IMMEDIATE for the apprehension of the ULTIMATE.

Esau abandoned his birthright for a mess of pottage. Samson wasted his destiny on the laps of harlotry! You will not lose out!

The battle is in your choices. Anything that sacrifices your future on the platform of the now is against your ultimate good. Fight it!

Today is the most important day of your life. Your choice today decides your destiny tomorrow. Today is the cash deposit which you withdraw in tomorrow’s bank account.

There is a future for you. Don’t use today to deny yourself of tomorrow. Esau lost out in the battle of posterity. Will you too?
