ARE YOU REALLY BIGGER THAN YOU ARE?

Welcome to a new working week? I have a question for you today: “Are you really as big as you say you are?” Or better still, “Are you really bigger than you are?” “Are you a big man?”

The words of Thomas Carlyle rings true, “A great man shows his greatness by the way he treats little men.” A big man is only a small man who lifts up smaller men. I shared a principle in my book, That I Look Like A Beggar Does Not Say I Do Not Have A Throne! I wrote in that little book, Never Look Down On A Man Except You Want To Help Him Up. I believe that principle passionately.

God gives us the opportunity to increase our greatness by bringing across our paths smaller men who needs our input into their God-given destinies. Who knows, you might be the angel that person has been praying for God to send. Your input is not always monetary; it could be the benefit of your influence, an encouraging word, or just the dignity of your presence. You will always know what is needed as the situation demands. That is how to be big and live large for God and make a lasting impact on people and posterity. Enough dreams are dying because some ‘big man’ somewhere is not living up to their ‘bigness’ in God. And don’t let me hear you say, “I’m not big yet. When I become big, I will do something.” Check out what I said earlier, I’ll repeat it for you. A BIG MAN IS ONLY A SMALL MAN WHO LIFTS UP SMALLER MEN. Selah!

I close with the words of Mark Twain, “Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that. But really great people make you feel that you too can become great.” I challenge you, go out today and all through this week and demonstrate your greatness. You will succeed!
