HOW DO WE SUCCEED?
It’s so easy to be a success! (I’m not being overly simplistic with that statement. I only ask that you stay with me and hear me out first.)
So, back at my opening statement: It’s so easy to be a success. How? You have to be willing to start small. Do not fear to move slowly, only fear to stand still. Be patient and hard working. Think long-term and before you know it, you’re there!
Yes! If you want to succeed, start small. Just start! If you do not start, you will not win. Winning is beginning. Beginning is half the job done!
Rome was not built in a day. (And I don’t know any other city that was!) You have to keep moving on no matter how small the steps you’re taking are. Be patient! Nothing great gets done overnight. The overnight success averagely takes ten years! Perseverance in the face of apparent failure is how those who have succeeded have succeeded. Be patient enough for your desired results to show.
Think long-term. It frees you from the frustration of an impatient dreamer. What is not possible in a year may get done in two. Focus on the future but keep acting in the now. Destiny gets fulfilled over time not overnight!
The scripture says in Habakkuk 2:3 (New Living Translation): “But these things I plan won’t happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.”
See that: SLOWLY, STEADILY, but SURELY!
So, how do we succeed? Work hard on your dreams. Apply yourself. Swear away shortcuts. Do not give up on God because He won’t ever give up on you. “A man diligent at his duty post is heading for prominence!” (Proverbs 22:29 a personal paraphrase) YOU WILL SUCCEED!
