Can You Build Friendships?

This was the question that filled my thoughts as I dropped off my kids at school earlier this morning.

There is something about friendship: True friendship is like a brotherhood. Brotherhood implies nakedness. Nakedness connotes vulnerability. If you’re not ready to be vulnerable, you can’t build real friendships. True friendships goes beyond the artificial. The facade comes off. That’s why a proud man, a man or woman who cannot humble himself or herself cannot and will never, in my opinion have true friends. He that must have a friend must show himself friendly. Don’t you think so too?
