12 THINGS TO REMEMBER IN 2012 (part 7) – The Wisdom of ECONOMY

“And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living. But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want.” (Luke 15:13-14)

Stop spending all! Money spent cannot be saved. And money not saved can’t be utilized. Confucius, the Chinese sage said: “He who will not economize will agonize!” Spendthrifts don’t shine, only wise investors rule in life.

I am not advocating being ‘penny wise and pound foolish’, neither am I suggesting penny-pinching as a way to financial success. I don’t even believe in it. But I believe in the wisdom of economy.

We need to curtail waste in our personal finances. Jesus said, after the miraculous feeding of the five thousand, “Gather the fragments, that nothing might be wasted.” (See John 6:12) I believe and know that for a fact from my own personal and family finances: IF WE WASTE NOT, WE WILL NOT WANT; our riches are hidden in our fragments. You will succeed!

12 THINGS TO REMEMBER IN 2012 (part 6) – THE POWER OF KINDNESS

It is good to be good!

Today I want you to be reminded of the power of kindness:

Kindness is its own reward. It is reciprocal. You show it, and then you get it!

Blessed are the merciful (the kind), for they shall obtain mercy (kindness) in return (see Matthew 5:7).

That’s the power of kindness. Remember to be kind to all you will meet today.

“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.” (Galatians 6:10)

YOU WILL SUCCEED!

THOUGHTS TO CHEW ON

TOO OFTEN WE LOOK OUTSIDE OF OURSELVES FOR THE SOURCE OF OUR PROBLEMS. THE REALITY IS THAT MANY COMES FROM INSIDE OF US! – JOHN C. MAXWELL

Think about this and have a blessed weekend!

VERY SOON WE WILL ALL BE GONE!

I read this in the tabloid over the weekend and it really spoke to me. Hope you will learn from it what I learnt. Enjoy!

“Very soon we will all be gone and what we keep for ourselves will become obsolete. What will always remain relevant is what we did for others with the opportunity that we got. Indeed, every man goes into his grave bearing in his hands that which he has given away.”

So, let me ask you, What significant thing will you do today for the people who will cross your path? Remember, very soon, we will all be gone! YOU WILL SUCCEED!
